The Tour:

San Miguel del Monte, founded in 1864, is one of the oldest towns in the province of Buenos Aires and is located next to the lagoon of the same name. This 740-hectare body of water, with a 15-kilometer perimeter, is the main attraction that draws visitors to San Miguel del Monte and delights the locals. The surrounding area features agricultural estates, and the rural landscape is perfect for a weekend getaway.

In its tree-lined streets, San Miguel del Monte offers several sites of historical importance, many related to Juan Manuel de Rosas, who owned various ranches and fields in the area. The most famous is "Los Cerrillos"; one of its original ranch houses was moved from its rural location to its current site at the intersection of Belgrano and Costanera Avenue, where it is preserved and open to visitors. Nearby is an old mansion with an imposing portal that belonged to “Carancho” González, a lieutenant of Rosas.

The tour begins with a takeoff from San Fernando Airport, offering views of Tigre, Parque de la Costa, and Nordelta. We then fly over San Miguel, Merlo, 20 de Junio, and Cañuelas until reaching San Miguel del Monte. The return flight follows a path passing near General Las Heras, Marcos Paz, Mariano Acosta, Moreno, Tortuguitas, and Del Viso before landing back at San Fernando Airport.

During the tour, in addition to enjoying privileged views, you will experience various maneuvers performed during a visual flight (VFR), which will be commented on and explained by the pilot.
